Readily accessible, center-based locations that offer jobs, housing, entertainment and amenities characterize places that attract Millennials and people 55 years of age and better. Communities can recast land use regulations to enhance aging-friendly characteristics, which in turn will allow them to retain and enhance economic vitality and viability. This session will explore what makes an aging-friendly community; how communities can adjust to meet evolving needs of their populations so residents can age in place; and the benefits gained by doing so.
